GRINS THEMATIC AREAS
RESOURCES
Over the last decades, several initiatives have been launched to support migrants engaging in entrepreneurial activities, spanning public and private actors, and covering a variety of services targeted to different ventures and groups of migrants. The literature has increasingly paid attention to such available entrepreneurial support, which goes beyond traditional help from migrants’ kinship and co-ethnic networks and communities. This chapter will provide an overview of current knowledge on such entrepreneurial support for migrant entrepreneurs. By conducting a systematic literature review of 69 peer-reviewed articles, we combine emerging themes and identify theoretical and empirical gaps, forming a future research agenda. The results of this research provide several insights that contribute to the flow of literature on entrepreneurial support for migrant entrepreneurs, along with policy and practice recommendations.
