THEMATIC AREA
This research stream explores the role of entrepreneurship education in fostering social cohesion and sustainability, with particular attention to disadvantaged groups such as young people not in employment, education, or training (NEETs), the unemployed, migrants, and persons with disabilities.
The initiative focuses on large urban areas, where levels of social exclusion are particularly high, and seeks to understand how entrepreneurship education can contribute to building a more inclusive and sustainable society.
The main activities within this stream include the analysis of the socio-economic impact of entrepreneurship education initiatives, particularly those accessible to and attended by disadvantaged groups. A core dimension of this work is the design of entrepreneurship education programmes that promote skills development and the use of digital technologies in the creation of new enterprises.
In addition, the project assesses the perceived impacts in terms of skills development, social innovation, social inclusion, and improvements derived from entrepreneurship education initiatives targeting disadvantaged groups across diverse social contexts.
The ultimate goal is to investigate how entrepreneurship can serve as a driver of positive change within communities, enhancing not only individual economic opportunities but also contributing to the construction of a more cohesive and sustainable society.
