I am a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Padua. My research interests lie in industrial organisation and public economics, with a focus on the design of rules and incentives in areas involving government intervention. My work covers regulated sectors (energy, water, telecommunications, motorways, and public universities), support for vulnerable energy consumers, public procurement and auctions, state aid to businesses, policies to foster innovation, and firm privatisation in transition economies.
