Cristina Cattaneo is Director of the Sustainable Earth Modelling Economics (SEME) division at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change Foundation (CMCC), where she also leads the research area on climate change and migration. Her research focuses on the causes and consequences of human migration, with particular attention to climate-induced migration and its effects on civil and international conflicts. She also conducts research in the field of experimental economics. Through collaborations with companies, she designs and evaluates the impact of informational interventions aimed at encouraging individuals to adopt sustainable behaviors, such as reducing resource consumption and investing in energy-efficient appliances. She has published in several international journals, including Journal of International Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Journal of Economic Geography, and Nature Energy.
