This research line focuses on the management and monitoring of public debt sustainability, taking into account various risks and their potential interactions.
It includes the active management of public debt, the assessment of its long-term vulnerability in crisis scenarios - such as pandemics or climate events - and the analysis of the effects of fiscal rules and unconventional monetary policies.
The research line investigates the key factors underlying public debt vulnerability and evaluates both its stability and that of the financial system. It also develops economic and econometric models to improve the understanding of risks related to public debt and fiscal policies in complex and evolving scenarios.
