GRINS THEMATIC AREAS
This research stream, focusing on the concept of business sustainability, first carries out a detailed mapping of sustainability practices in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating across different Italian regions.
The process includes the analysis of various business aspects, such as financial and managerial accounting, corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting, corporate governance variables, key organisational elements, business models, strategies, practices, beliefs, objectives, and cross-sectoral collaborations.
In parallel, a comprehensive clustering of business management practices within these territories is conducted. This involves grouping and analysing the different ways in which companies manage their activities to identify common patterns or best practices.
Finally, another crucial aspect of the project is the measurement of business sustainability in pilot territories, including industrial districts, supply chains, and enterprise networks. This assessment considers environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and is also correlated with macroeconomic trends.
